The Water Environment Federation presented its 2008 Public Education Award to the Districts for the public outreach effort for the Clearwater Program on October 22, 2008 at its annual convention, which was held in Chicago.

The California Water Environment Association presented its 2007 Public Education Award to the Districts for the public outreach effort for the Clearwater Program in April 2008.

The Los Angeles Basin Section of the California Water Environment Association presented its 2007 Public Education Award to the Sanitation Districts for the Clearwater Program Public Outreach in January 2008.
